Off to Wales!

Hello all! I'm so sorry my blogging has been practically nonexistent since I've been in London, but the adjusting has been more difficult than I anticipated :) I'm still really worn out from all the traveling of last week and upon our arrival in the U.K. we've really had to hit the ground running, so there hasn't been a lot of time for me to catch up. I will try to do better - I'm hoping next week will be much easier because by now I have a better idea of how to use my time efficiently.

In about an hour I am heading to Wales for the weekend (Cardiff to be precise)! I am traveling with two friends - Hillary and Melissa - and am particularly excited because I've got a bit of Welsh blood in my veins. Return to the homeland!

I will do my best to post after I return Sunday evening. Please pray for safe travel and that we will feel good about our hostel reservations. You never can tell what you'll get in the way of a hotel or hostel, and there have been several times where the descriptions on the internet were entirely misleading and we did not feel as safe as I would like :)

Much love and baci - I look forward to telling you all about Wales!

I made it to London!

Hello everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since my last update. Thank you for your prayers during the trip! It was full of challenges and surprises, but it was evident that God was clearly taking care of us every step of the way. Our week of travel took a lot out of us - and once we got to London we had to hit the ground running! I wanted so badly to write a big long blog detailing all of our adventures during our travels through Switzerland, Italy, Austria, France, and England, but there is simply no time at the present. If I did that I would get so hopelessly behind on my London posts that it would be impossible to get everything in, so I have thought long and hard and finally come up with a nice compromise.

Now that we have a Meredith laptop set up in our mini-library here, I can upload hundreds of my pictures via Picasa and then post them online in albums. You wouldn't believe how much time this saves - and that way, you can view so many more than I could ever get posted on my blog (where I have to upload them one by one). So, I have divided up the trip by location into albums from our trip to Austria through my first few days in London. That way you can peruse my long travel break in the form of pictures and I can fill you in on the details when I return. Thankfully pictures can often speak for themselves - but the ones that don't will just have to wait until I get back for further detail!

If the hyperlink doesn't work, just copy and paste the link into your browser and you should be able to assess the site just fine.

I will post again sometime tomorrow afternoon to fill you in on London - Lord willing. At the moment I'm just trying to keep up with homework and rest up so I can get as much as possible out of the next five weeks.

Oh, and happy 4th of July! You have no idea how weird it is spending our Independence Day in the nation we gained independence from ...

Ciao!
